What's New

I’ve included some great links here for free reading materials during the building closure due to COVID-19:

Tumblebooks

A great site with many popular authors and titles. Usually requires a paid subscription, but because of school closures is free until August 31, 2020.

Username: ndtumbles

Passwood: trial

Audible Stories

Another great site being offered for free until the end of August due to school closures. Books are read aloud. Amazon is not requiring a username or password at this time. You can just click right in.

A YouTube channel where books are read aloud to the viewers. Great production quality on videos and a lot of books to choose from.

Storyline Online

A free website where famous actors read books aloud. They are very animated.

Reminders/Announcements

Students can email me at corey.gaddie@tps-k12.org with book requests and I will try my best to fill the request in a timely fashion.

I am traveling for classes this year and don’t get into the library very often each day however, so it may take some time.

Thanks for being patient! I am trying to make a Google Form that might make this process a little easier.

ND State Library Online Resources

These are some of my favorite research sources from the State Library website:

Proquest: Search newspaper articles from around the world

If you are at the school you will need no login or password to get into the ND State Library website. If you are researching at home you will need the following information to login:

Password information for out-of school access

(must be logged into school account to access)

Explora Public Library: If you go into the ND State Library Online Resources look for “Explora Public Library” under “General Research”. A link from this page will not work as it times out your session.
