I am currently in my 20th year of education and 14th year working in Thompson. I spent the first six years teaching at Northwood Public School. I spent my first seven years in Thompson as the elementary principal. I will begin my seventh year as superintendent for the 20/21 school year. My wife Andrea is the media specialist at Grand Forks Central High School. Our son Logan is in 12th grade and daughter Brooke is in 8th grade.

I will update my page weekly to provide the latest information relating to Thompson Public School. I would also encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter @TPSND61. Also, please contact the main office if you have new contact information so you get our emails and calls.

We also encourage you to check the teacher pages on our website to keep updated on the latest assignments, news, and announcements.

Updates for the week of April 4:

The Health and Safety Committee will be meeting April 6th to discuss a few topics as we wrap up the 20/21 school year. The staff and students have been amazing this year following all the guidelines put in place to protect each other!

The weather is turning to spring and that will bring some unique challenges this year. The good news is that the weather will allow our students to get outside more and enjoy the fresh air. The challenge will be working around construction to the east of the school where most of our students would normally enjoy the free time. We will be working closely with the city to make the project as safe as possible.

I would like to thank the staff, students, and parents for your continued honesty and transparency during the pandemic. There is light at the end of the tunnel with vaccinations beginning but it is important not to let our guard down as a slight uptick in cases has occurred recently in Grand Forks County.

Please follow the daily checklist and continue to follow the other guidelines in our Health and Safety Plan.

We will continue to communicate our progress so check the website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any concerns.
