I am currently in my 22nd year of education and 16th year working in Thompson. I spent the first six years teaching at Northwood Public School. I spent my first seven years in Thompson as the elementary principal. I will begin my ninth year as superintendent for the 22/23 school year. My wife Andrea is the media specialist at Grand Forks Central High School. Our son Logan is attending Mayville State and daughter Brooke is in 10th grade.

I will update my page weekly to provide the latest information relating to Thompson Public School. I would also encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter @TPSND61. Also, please contact the main office if you have new contact information so you get our announcements on ParentSquare.

Updates for the week of March 13:

The 23/24 calendar was approved at the February School Board Meeting. We will be able to start a week later in August and also keep the week long spring break while having graduation Memorial Day weekend.

TPS will be adding a third section of 4th grade and also a HS position for the 23/24 school year.  Seth Kuchar has been hired to teach 4 - 12 PE Courses.  Mr. Kuchar taught five years in Park River and the last four years in Emerado.  Miranda Kennedy will teach the third section of 4th grade next year. She has previous teaching experience in West Fargo and Manvel. Lainee Gapp will also be joining our staff to teach kindergarten next fall after Ms. Bohlman turned in her resignation to pursue other opportunities.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any concerns.
