Congratulations to our final "Student of the Month" recipients for the year: Ashley Potter (12th), Connor Welsh (9th), Eric Isaacson (8th), Samantha Garman (8th)

Semester tests for students in grades 9-12 will begin at 12:30pm on Wednesday, May 22, and conclude on Friday, May 24. Reminder students are not required to be in school when they do not have a test. Please encourage your son/daughter to prepare for their tests and make sure they are on time!

Congratulations to THS senior, Kadin O'Toole, who qualified for the State Golf meet being held in Jamestown on May 28&29! Great job Kadin!

The THS Awards Program will begin at 10:30am on Wednesday, May 22. Following the program the ND National Guard, along with our teaching staff, will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for our students.

Congratulations to our track athletes on a very successful Regional meet on Friday in Larimore! Both the boys and girls teams earned second place finishes in the Region. Individually earning first place finishes were: Lana Krack (800m & 1600m), Izzy Shirek (100m hurdles), Jacob Hendrickson (1600m), Ryan Juve (110m hurdles), and Sam Roller (300m hurdles). The team also qualified a number of relay teams for the State Meet. Also, congratulations to Izzy Shirek on being named the Region's Most Outstanding Senior and to Coach Anderson for earning the NE Region Coach of the Year award for both the boys and the girls. Good luck at the State Meet!

Thank you to the Thompson Park Board, and the many other volunteers, who are helping make the first ever East Region Softball Tournament held here in Thompson a great success! In the opening round on Saturday the Tommies defeated Kindred earning them a spot in the semi-finals against Hillsboro/CV at 5:00pm on Monday.

We have a few staff members at TPS who will be leaving us at the conclusion of the school year. Thank you to Jason Beilke (6th grade), Katie Litchy (custodian), Cathy Stallard (para-professional), and Shannon McKay (custodian), for their years of service at TPS.

The Region II baseball tournament was postponed on Saturday and will now be played on Monday. The Tommies will play in the last game of the day (approximately 4:30pm) against the winner of Larimore and Hatton/Northwood. Good luck to the players and coaches!

All Thompson students will be dismissed at 1:00pm on the last day of school, Friday, May 24. Buses will run at this time.

Report cards will be mailed out during the first week in June. We are at the mercy of GF Public Schools, and other online courses, whose school year runs longer in order to finalize grades. Let us know if you would like a copy sent via email.

Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2019! Everyone at THS has enjoyed watching you grow and appreciate all you've done for our school and community! Best of luck in the years to come!

Thank you all for your continued support of Thompson Public Schools! We are very fortunate to have parents in our community who value education. Have a safe and enjoyable summer!
